Saying Goodbye…
It seems like fate is not
with us at the moment… People change and walk in other directions and sometimes
it means that ways divide…That´s what´s with us at the moment. Our
Leadguitarist Dynamaik decided to choose a way without Strongholde. That´s sad…
It´s always sad to loose a bandmember, but this time the loss weights even
heavier, after years of rocking, partying, cohering and suffering together… and
somehow I can´t find the right words to express what I want to say. I try to
point my view to the future, but still there are sad thought about the past.
But I can´t change it so I have to stand it and walk on.
Well, I think you can imagine
that the release of our debut will last a little longer, and I´m very sorry for
that.
We try our hardest to find a
new Leadguitarist and rock on as soon as possible.
But don´t worry, our gigs
will take place as planned, either with a new Strongholder or with an interim
guitarist, but the metal will go on, that´s for sure!

Hi, mental
headbangers and metal maniaxe!
As you might
have recognized, there’s not too much going on in the Strongholde camp these
days. So I will tell you the latest news on this way.
As you
know, we’ve started recording our first long player a couple of months ago and
we originally wanted to finish it by the end of 2007. But Junior has to do his
social year at the moment (instead of going to the military… he just didn’t
want to cut his Hair) and at the same time continues his education as a tattoo
artist, so he’s almost got no free time left. However, we hope that he will be
able to take some holydays until march to finish the drum tracks. The remaining
recordings will most likely go a lot quicker, so we hope to present you the
finished album by the June/July 2008!
Big “thank
you” to all the headbangers who supported us at our last gigs in Burscheid and
Haan! The gig in Burscheid was almost cancelled because the singer of the
headliners Candela got a serious illness on the concert day. We were really
lucky that Eliminator proved themselves the most spontaneous band of this are!
Though I called them no more than an hour before the gig, they decided to help
us out and play the concert! Hell fuck, those guys are really insane, but
that’s rock’n’roll! I’m already looking forward to the next party with this bunch
of metalbanging bastards… which will come for sure! Our own gig was a little
weird because I maybe drank a little too much after all that stress… even more
we want to thank the chaos crew in front of the stage! Let me just say: “It’s
disgusting to be a maniac!” ;-)
The concert
in Haan was a brilliant ending of the year! Our most loyal followers have all
been there and made the gig an amazing party! Maybe I should just give you
maniaxe the mic and let you sing “Heavy Metal is back from Hell” in the future!
Killer, dudes! Extra hails go to Hufi, Max and Blacky for their great guest
vocals on the last song “Hail to the Hammer”! If haven’t been a really
frightening warrior choir, I will ram a nail straight through my left egg!
Well,
that’s it for the moment! We’ve got some big plans for 2008 and we hope that we
can continue to count on you just like we always could!
Greetings
& long live the loud,
Yours
Gordon

Hi Folks!
It's time for the
diary again, we have much to tell! ;-)
Our drumsmurf
Junior was busy with recording half of the drumfiles for our album. As you know
we entered Voker Lesons (Wizard) Magic Hall Studio and we can reveal that
Volker will give us that asskicking sound we longed for so long…
September meant
big travelling for us. First we were lead to Clausthal-Zellerfeld, a nice town
in Harz Mountains, where, thank Thomas, we had a very great time. Allthough
there was not the biggest audience, the present crowd partied a lot, lots of
beer was destroyed, the atmosphere was really cool (Hail to the mad brains…)
and at night in the frat of Germany´s highest University, Klaus gave us a
little musical encore while he was sleeping. We should have recorded, cause it
would have been a great track on our album. *ggg *
After the delay of
the Nürnberg gig (Get well, Existence) the following weekend we were ready to
head for Flensburg.
16 hours in the
car, hairy asian girls, maniac highway stalkers, romantic lovestrorys between
man and dog (Schwommitommi), one Finger - many buttons (great job, dude),
highheel overkill, Dithmarschen attack (Thanks to Tobi, Zwerg, Schwommi, David,
Evi and Jörn, you were fucking brilliant), nymphomanian psycho destillery queen
(thanks for party and hospitality), the revival of the festival pants, wild
cameraaction (thanks ManniManfred), idyllic landscape… all these things an even
more could be witnessed at our biggest gig so far, as opener for “mighty”
Candlemass. It was a great
fucking, asskicking and licking weekend!!!!!
Stay heavy,
Sally and Gordon

Chelas
Moshheads. Large events throw their shade ahead and Strongholde give themselves
largest strive not to fall over it.
After
releasing our brand new Demo CD, we’ve got massiv requests for it. Sadly, we
have to tell most of them, our Demo isn’t a new Version of “ Stronghold,
medival war” and that there is no
chance to find any Videogame on the CD.
There are
just 29 days last till our first gig in northern Germany. Beware those who
suspect this audience to be not sensable and extremly confused, maybe even
drunk, yelling and celebrating after the first song. Gordon „ The Flo“ Overkill
is no representativ the majority of the north German population. He was not
send as the ideal of a northen german, he came willingly to marrie Sally
Overkill, former Steel soon (I do not reveal any date).
So, April
seems to get an important month for Strongholde. Much work is to be done,
but if we work good, there is a lot of
fun to follow. “Work first, then Party” counts also for international
unsuccesfull bands.
With those
words I say good-bye, wish you a great springtime and hope to see you in
Hamburg. Cu soon, your’s Junior ”the Junior” Junior.

Hi Folks!
Finally we present you our new Homepagelayout and at least our Demo EP will
be released veeeeeeeery soon! … For sure the past wasn´t that easy to manage
without a singer, but I promise, we did our best to give you some fucking heavy
metal!
We can´t wait until our next gig in Solingen, cause there´ll be some new
stuff for you! At the first time you can rock through 10 songs with us!!!
For sure we are still searching for a new singer, but I can reveal that
a singer will visit us soon… That´s all I can tell you, cause we have to see
how it will work…
This time we are really excited, the wind ist changing, it´s going ahead
and that´s great!
Ok Metalheads, long live
rock`n´roll! J
Sally

Hi,
maniacs and metal-possessed fellows! It's Gordon Overkill, the
guy who is raping the guitars in Strongholde. With these words
I want to start our new homepage section called "Banddiary".
With this section we want to give you the chance to take a little
look at our band-life, but we will also use it for some statements
from our point of view from time to time. So we will be
totally satisfied when you consider it a little unseful and
entertaining.
So let's start now... some of you might
know that we finally played another gig for a metal audience
last Saturday after it took us nine months to get our new singer
Blacky ready. I just ignore that "public rehersal"
that we played in Witten between the days as the only metal
band on a Rockabilly billing. However, on Saturday the
time had come to rock and roll again. As we arrived at the venue
we directly ran into the first surprise: Because of different
reasons none of the other Bands OCTANE, JORMUNDGARD, CRIKEY
and LINDISFARNE were able to play the headliner show, it was
our task to take this position for the first time in the band's
history. It really was surprising how long such an evening
could become if you have to wait for your show all the time!
After an endless time of playing cards, practising, pissing,
playing cards and so on we still had hours to wait before us.
To waste some time we just started drinking as much beer as
possible and banging our heads to several Death Metal bands.
Well, finally it was our turn, we were drunk as hell and my
neck was aching as fuck... but hey, an indian doesn't know no
pain! Up on stage, ready for attack! At least we hoped so. At
first we had to recognice that for some wicked technical reasons
we had to play without Sally's violin. Finally poor Sally had
mercy with the sound engenier and accepted to play all songs
on flute instead. Now we were finally ready to take off! And
honestly, how much have we all missed this feeling? For sure
the audience could see a big smile on the faces of everyone
of us during the whole gig! Taking the late time and the almost
pure Death Metal audience into concideration, we were really
happy with the headbanging crowd in the hall. Finally we played
some stuff from SLAYER and METALLICA because our set was a little
to short for a headliner gig. "Thanx" to the singer
of CRIKEY and the guitarist of ARCTIC RAVEN, who helped us with
the cover songs! Another big "Thanx" to everyone in
the audience who made this night so much fun for us! Now
that the fun is over, we will concentrate on finishing our EP
again, so that you can hopefully buy it at our next gig. By
the way, on this gig we will present you some new songs... I
can already promise that it's gonna be more hard-rocking than
ever before! I hope to see you there ;-)
That's it for
the moment! Best greetings & long live the loud,
your's
Gordon
